Dealing with construction waste and other debris from any kind of industrial renovation, demolition or related project is notoriously tricky. Project managers and contractors have a lot on their plate to keep a project on track while making sure any scrap or recycling from demolition or construction is handled safely and effectively. With family members who worked all types of construction projects with wheeled dumpster covers, Sheri L of SPCL Designs, Inc., saw a need for containing debris without adding hassle.
For tilt trucks with unusually shaped debris or loads that extended above the lip, there was no option other than a molded plastic lid or using a drop cloth and taping the edge to contain debris inside. This approach is clearly time-consuming and inefficient.
With her deep background in design and management — including her own line of jewelry — Sheri sketched out some ideas and met with suppliers and manufacturers. She also met with construction and operations professionals to learn more about how temporary dumpsters were used and how best to contain what was put in them. She was determined to figure out the most flexible, but resilient materials to use. The Gondola Hairnet® was Sheri’s simple, yet very effective design solution.
Many industries now use the Gondola Hairnet® for their projects including new building construction in occupied spaces, hospital renovations or expansions, commercial property build-outs, warehouse and office complex developments and much more. Any Environmental Services (EVS) project benefits from this easy-to-use product.
In addition to the original 1/2-yard wheeled dumpster cover, the Gondola Hairnet® now comes in a 1-yard dumpster cover size, as well as custom imprints. The flexible, coated original cover is available in four colors and a light-weight construction lid cover option is available in black or navy blue.
